Every dog is unique, which is why we customize our approach to fit your dog’s specific needs. Whether you're looking for better manners at the park or a calmer, more obedient dog at home, we’ll help you achieve lasting results that make life with your dog easier, more enjoyable, and stress-free.
Our approach is simple, effective, and results-driven. Using a proven mark-and-reward system and clear, consistent boundaries, we make training easy for your dog—and clear for you. Whether it’s walking calmly by your side or improving behavior at home, your dog will know exactly what’s expected. Plus, we’ll guide you in becoming confident and consistent in your approach, strengthening the trust and bond you share.
At On Your Mark K9, we know that dogs learn best when taught with clarity, consistency, and accountability. That’s why we’ve developed a training system tailored to your dog’s individual needs, ensuring they understand exactly what’s expected while learning their boundaries and responsibilities.
Ryan is currently working toward his professional dog training certification through the Method K9 Institute’s rigorous certification program, where he has received training in everything from Dog CPR and First Aid to advanced dog behavior and training techniques. Additionally, Ryan continues his education through the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers, ensuring he stays at the forefront of the most modern methods and science in dog training.
Ryan's education took off when he shadowed and was mentored by Karen Braccia, owner of Training With Karen. This experience deepened his love for the rewarding work of training client dogs. He further honed his skills through an apprenticeship under Paul Edward of Modern Primitive K9, where he learned advanced training techniques, including applying the predatory motor sequence through play and using play as a primary reinforcer. Paul Edward is also a graduate of Ivan Balabanov’s world-renowned Training Without Conflict program, and Ryan benefited greatly from this expertise.
Ryan’s journey into dog training began with his own dog, Brody—a now 8.5-year-old XL American Bully, whom Ryan has raised since Brody was just 8 weeks old. Training Brody sparked Ryan’s passion for working with dogs, which eventually led him to the professional dog training industry.
