We offer individualized private lessons for dog owners who want to be an active participant in their dog’s training. These sessions give you a deeper understanding of your dog’s behavior and provide you with the tools to effectively communicate with your dog.
On Your Mark K9 is fully insured for liability and prioritizes safety and professionalism in all aspects of training.
This program is designed for dog owners who want to build a strong foundation of reliable, real-world obedience. We focus on creating consistency with core behaviors like sit, down, implied stay, loose leash walking, and formal heeling. Your dog will learn how to come when called—even off-leash—and develop calm, respectful behavior in the home through proper manners, doorway threshold control, and holding the “place” command for longer durations. We also work on building confidence and proper socialization, cooperative care for vet visits and grooming, and addressing reactivity by creating neutrality around other dogs, people, and environmental distractions. Whether you're starting from scratch or struggling with mild to severe behavior issues such as resource guarding, aggression and reactivity - this program lays the groundwork for lasting results and a better relationship with your dog.
Our stay and train program is carefully designed to create lasting, healthy behavior habits through consistent structure, daily training, and a home-like environment. What makes our program different than your average board and train is the level of personal care your dog receives—we never use a commercial kennel setting, as that kind of environment can be stressful and counterproductive for many dogs.
We only take 1–2 dogs at a time, so your dog gets our full attention and individualized training throughout their stay. During the program, your dog lives in my home alongside my own dogs and receives the same thoughtful care, training and structure they do. This allows your dog to learn in a calm, real-world environment that supports meaningful progress and long-term results.

On Your Mark K9 is based out of West Chester, PA, and is proud to offer in-home training lessons. Our private sessions take place both at your home and in real-world public environments, as these are where your dog spends the most time. Many training programs focus exclusively on facility-based lessons, which can create a critical issue—dogs often struggle to generalize their training.
By training in both home and public environments, we ensure your dog can confidently apply their skills no matter where they go. All behaviors are taught in a controlled setting, generalized in public spaces, and proofed in the presence of distractions.
If training is only done in one environment, your dog may perform well there but struggle to apply those skills elsewhere. We believe this approach sets dogs up for confusion and failure when they’re expected to use the same skills in different settings.
